## Direct-match strengths

Executive AI strategy, scalable cloud architecture, distributed systems, AI product roadmaps, data engineering, NLP exposure, enterprise customer advisory, technical-team leadership, partnerships, governance, security, and sustainability/cost awareness.

## Hard or material gaps

Hard central-mandate gaps: the company is an AI data-center and HPC infrastructure operator, while Keith does not document ownership of data-center infrastructure, hyperscale GPU fleets, HPC organizations, or model-training and inference optimization at that infrastructure layer. Advanced large-scale pattern-recognition depth is also not demonstrated at the level requested.

## Evidence map

1. Set enterprise AI strategy and product roadmap (weight 3, evidence 3/3) — Direct strategy, roadmap, platform, and commercialization leadership.
2. Scalable AI infrastructure across cloud and data centers (weight 3, evidence 1/3) — Deep cloud architecture is direct; data-center infrastructure ownership is unsupported.
3. Model optimization, workload orchestration, and data pipelines (weight 3, evidence 2/3) — Direct orchestration and data pipelines; infrastructure-scale model optimization is limited.
4. Hyperscaler, HPC-provider, and frontier-lab requirements (weight 3, evidence 1/3) — AWS and enterprise advisory are direct, but owning HPC/frontier-lab infrastructure is not.
5. Distributed systems and cloud architecture (weight 3, evidence 3/3) — Direct, deep, and outcome-backed experience.
6. Data science, analytics, and statistical modeling (weight 2, evidence 2/3) — Direct applied ML/analytics experience, though not the role's full infrastructure-measurement depth.
7. Pattern recognition and NLP at large scale (weight 3, evidence 1/3) — NLP services and applications are supported; advanced pattern-recognition leadership at scale is not.
8. Build and manage AI/ML technical teams (weight 3, evidence 3/3) — Direct teams and communities ranging from 11 to 180+ people.
9. GPU training and inference at scale (weight 3, evidence 1/3) — SageMaker and Deep Learning AMI exposure is supported; GPU-fleet ownership is not.
10. Executive, partnership, governance, and customer leadership (weight 2, evidence 3/3) — Direct executive advisory, partnerships, customer engagement, and Responsible AI governance.

## Keyword diagnostic

Executive AI and cloud-platform strengths are relevant, but the role's core differentiator is hyperscale GPU/HPC and data-center infrastructure leadership.

## Full normalized job description

Company Description
5C is a newly formed AI infrastructure leader created through Hypertec Cloud’s acquisition of 5C Data Centers, combining advanced cloud capabilities with state-of-the-art data centers. The company specializes in large-scale, purpose-built AI digital infrastructure solutions for hyperscalers, high-performance computing providers, AI frontier labs, AI-native companies, and enterprise clients. 5C focuses on delivering AI “factories” designed for the scale, speed, and complexity of emerging industry needs. Its operating principles are built around five pillars: Customization, Celerity, Cutting Edge, Climate, and Cost Efficiency. Team members join a fast-growing environment at the intersection of cloud, data centers, and next-generation AI applications.
Role Description

Expertise in Data Science and Analytics, including experience with statistical modeling, data engineering, and performance measurement for AI workloads.
Advanced knowledge of Pattern Recognition and Natural Language Processing (NLP), with a track record of applying these techniques to real-world, large-scale applications.
Proven leadership experience in AI, machine learning, or HPC organizations, including building and managing cross-functional technical teams.
Experience defining and executing AI product and technology roadmaps for enterprise or hyperscale environments.
Familiarity with GPU-accelerated computing, model training and inference at scale, and AI-related security and compliance considerations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across executive, technical, and customer-facing teams.
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
